Yeah ... if you are Sekolah Alam Insan Mulia students, you will have a big cultural party in the fourth grade every year. Of course, because we have thematic teaching program. And fourth grade program is Culture Exhibition.
For the first, we design the exhibition only in the school. We promote our culture by traditional dress, food, dance, song, and many others in the school. And of course we are collecting the information about our culture and display it on the wall in our stand. We choose a special day for the exhibition. Every student being an ambassador for their province.

 This is our activity in the school. Students bring all the things they had at home to the school. Their parent helps them to prepare the stand and the food.

Leaning to be an Ambassador

We divide the class to be a few groups. Sumatera, Borneo, Celebes, Papua, Java, Nusa Tenggara, Madura, and Bali. Before we do the exhibition, the group must be present their culture in the class. So, they will be ready to be the best ambassador for their province.





We ever do the exhibition in Kartini's day, so ... students present the culture on the stage. Wow, its good to train them to be a good presenter on the stage.

And for forth grade program on 2012, we have an exhibition in Tunjungan Plaza, a big mall in Surabaya. We have Education Fair there, so we join the culture exhibition program on that event. And you know, I didn't expect that my fourth grade students will be able to present their culture to another audience in the mall.
We just give them a command; "Okay now time to best ambassador. Try to find people who wanna listen to your presentation. Ask their time and promote your province, make them interesting and wanna come to your province."
And wow ... amazing, they can't wait to find another audience and share information about their culture. They ask the audience to listen to their presentation bravely. They are not only brave but also struggle to share the information. Great Job guys!!!

The last but not least, students show the traditional song on the stage. They are truly entertainer, no fear no shame to show up. Keep your spirit on guys!!!
